On the 28th of January 2024, Japanese eroge studio Qruppo have announced that their debut franchise Nukitashi (Nukige Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Watashi wa Dou Surya Ii Desu ka?) will receive an anime adaptation, collaborating with and supported by Kadokawa. They have created a dedicated X/Twitter account by the name of @nukitashi_anime, publishing a teaser artwork featuring four of the game’s girls and the protagonist ready for battle.
The Nukitashi visual novel released first in Japan in August 2018 and a sequel, Nukitashi 2, was released a year later in November. Both titles brought ample fame and notoriety to Qruppo’s brand. The first game has already received English and Chinese language releases while the second one is currently undergoing the localization process, with a rough release date of Q1 2024. Licensing for both games was handled by Shiravune, the English language arm of DMM Games. There is also a third game set in the same universe, Hentai Prison, released in 2022.
Mameojitan launched a manga adaptation of the game in 2020, with serialization in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine starting in 2021, with four volumes currently released as of January 2024.
