On December 15th, Love Lab announced they will be publishing Ever Maiden by Liar-soft which is estimated to release in 2024. A developer known for countless titles they made along those years such as Adabana Itan, or recently Shiei no Sona-Nyl ~What beautiful memories~. However, we take our guess Yuri fans will mostly remember the name Liar-soft for their Kindred Spirits on the Roof. Nonetheless, it’s fair to assume Ever Maiden should’ve been on everyone’s radar for quite a while, foremost as one of the few Yuri VN’s that includes horror elements.
Love Lab stated further news about Ever Maiden will follow. But regardless I’m feeling pretty confident it will become a hot topic among Yuri fans at the very least. My only fears whatsoever lies on the fact it’s an adult game we are talking about, which may or may not lead to some changes in order to be added to Steam. Hopefully nothing of the sort will happen.
While Love Lab has not released a yuri title thus far, their CEO Meru has been involved in yuri game localization ranging from entire Flowers‘ series across TsuyuChiru into darker subject material titles like Curse of Kudan. However, the translation work will be done by Soukoutaigi.
This story is about “Puellarium,” a school isolated from the outside world by fog and thorns. Here strict discipline is always in effect, where the air always tense and time never disturbed. However, one morning a girl was found unconscious in front of the school gate. This gate is always closed and should only open on special occasions. The guards, on alert, asked her to name herself to which she replied “Alouette.”
At that moment, the bell of the clock tower, which was rusty and always silent, rang out. “When the bell of the clock tower rings, the end of this school will come soon.” Like the gossip had hinted, it was the beginning of a nightmarish turmoil in Puellarium. Alouette who had become a student after many complications, violated curfew and left her room. What she saw there was a school that had turned into a different world, and a strange shape that wandered around with a murderous intent. With determination she called out to the girl in front.
