After a year since the SRPG Trial Edition released, JAST USA is finally releasing dualtail‘s VenusBlood GAIA International. Currently, it’s available for pre-order through JAST Store, for $36.44 (-10%). It will be available on Steam in the future, though it will be censored.
The English localization project has started as a Kickstarter — and a very successful one, going past 270% of its goal.
In fact, the previous two VenusBlood Kickstarters were two big successes as well — VenusBlood FRONTIER and VenusBlood HOLLOW.

Labyrinth Dungeon Defense
Set traps, position your defenders, and brace yourself for the enemy invasion.
You are the master of the labyrinth, and these invaders are but pieces on a board that you control…
Defender Placements
Place defenders throughout your labyrinth in order to intercept invading enemies as they traverse the different levels and floors!
Anticipating the routes your enemy will take and carefully placing defenders to intercept them at chokepoints!
Arcane Avatar Recruitment
To defend Energeia, one needs a formidable army.
By selecting a Progenitor amongst his female companions, Theofrad can use their DNA to create Arcane Avatars, formidable soldiers that can assist in the city’s defense!
Arcane Avatars also share a close bond with the Progenitor that spawned them, giving them bonuses for being in the same division!
Battalion Battles (Triple Division Battles / Large Foe Battles)
With three divisions of six units each, you enter battle…with all 18 units! Decimate the enemies trapped in your labyrinth with the full force of three divisions!
During certain Event battles, you can face off against other battalions of three enemy divisions, but sometimes, you will enter battle against a colossal foe, taking it on with all three of your divisions to eke out a narrow victory!
Squad System
Six units make up a single division.
Put together your own custom, unique teams! Be it a team filled with commander units only, common units only, or one based on synergistic affinities, set up your defense teams while considering where you want to position them and how they work in the ultimate layout for the death trap that is your labyrinth!
Customize & Optimize Units
Units can be customized in many different ways!
Raise them, assign them to a division, give them equipment, and place them as defenders in the labyrinth or put them into an assault team to directly attack invaders!
Routes of Law and Chaos
Depending on the decisions you make throughout the game, the story may progress down different paths, and there are also multiple endings available!
Make your choices wisely, for they will influence the ultimate ending to your story…
