Publisher Shiravune announced that a short nukige kinetic visual novel, Mamiya Mami wa Iyashite Agetai, also known as Succubus Sessions: Mami Mamiya’s Sweet Slice of Hell, will release in English today, on December 1st 2023. This is the first title of the Succubus Sessions franchise, originally published by Argonauts, an imprint brand of MOONSTONE.
The game will be available on Steam and you can also pre-order it on Johren. The game is available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
About the Game
After years of isolation, a friendly son of Adam is just what Mami’s village needs to reacquaint itself with the outside world! Demon contact, however, can prove lethal to your average joe… Not Koichi, though. This guy’s built different.
Steam
The trial for Succubus Sessions released on February 25th 2022, followed by the full release of the downloadable and package edition on April 28th 2022. A second and third game followed soon after with Iyashite Agetai- Complete Pack, featuring all three games, releasing on the same date as the third entry.
Succubus Sessions was written by Kaitsumuri (Bishoujo Gakuen 2 & 3, and Iyeshite Agetai series). Characters were designed is by Yamakaze Ran (who has worked on every Argonauts title and some MOONSTONE titles) while SD art was created by neon. (Renran Spirichu, Natsuiro Koi Uta, Onii-chan, Asa made Zutto Gyutte Shite! + Fandisc). The game was produced and planned by Kure (who also has worked on every MOONSTONE and Argonauts title)
Little fun fact: Shiravune accidently spoiled the release of the second game in the series, known as Succubus Sessions 2: Yuri & Marin’s Second Helping. It was spotted on Johren before Robert K decided to remove the listing. The official announcement was supposed to happen at a later date.
Developer Information
Argonauts has been active since 2018 and released many other short nukige before. Their first title was Uchi no Kanojo, the first title of the Uchikano series. Uchi no Imouto (2018) and Uchi no Koibito (2019) are the other two entries in the series (which has been translated and published by MangaGamer). The Uchikano series was followed by Bishoujo Gakuen, which includes Kara no Shoujo – Bishoujo Gakuen 1 – (2020), Tsuki no Shoujo – Bishoujo Gakuen 2 – (2020), and finally Sei no Shoujo – Bishoujo Gakuen 3 – (2021). Iyashite Agetai is their most recent series . Start from this title, then move on to Yuuri to Marin wa Iyashite Agetai (2022) and finally Oshino Ruka wa Iyashite Agetai (2023), which is their most recent release.
Delays on top of Delays
On May 9th 2023 Shiravune announced the release of Succubus Sessions for July 21st 2023. Unfortunately the game’s release was delayed to July 25th 2023 due to unforeseen circumstance.
Three days later another delay due to unforeseen circumstances was announced by the publisher. At that time Shiravune planned to release the game either in August or September.
August and September has passed, with a release still not on the horizon. Later on October 31st 2023, Shiravune was back to announce the release for Q1 2024.
A week later, Shiravune finally set the real and confirmed release date: December 1st 2023.

Story

A succubus who works as a caretaker of the school dormitory, Ruka was Kouichi’s classmate when they were in high school and also his first love. Due to some circumstances, on the day when they were supposed to go on their first date, they were forced to be apart and had lost contact with each other since then. They reunited unexpectedly when Kouichi was brought to the village by Mami and Marin. It’s unknown what happen to their faded first love since then.
She is reserved, but jealous to Kouichi. Despite her reserveseness in words and actions, she is physically active.
At the end of the second title, Ruka admits to Kouichi that she is still somewhat has feelings for him and accepts his offer to participate in the naughty lesson, becoming the heroine of the third and final title of the series.
