CRAFTWORK, after a few years of absence from the visual novel scene, will be releasing its newest eroge in over 22 years. The title will be called Geminism. CRAFTWORK is most known for its cult classic Sayonara o Oshiete ~comment te dire adieu~. A title that has garnered a strong following amongst psychological fiction fans and has been cited as a favorite amongst a few visual novel authors including the likes of SCA-Ji (the writer of Subahibi, Tsui no Sora, and Sakura no Uta). The author of Sayonara o Oshiete will also be the assistant writer for Geminism alongside a relatively new prospect who has made somewhat of a name for themselves in the VN doujin scene (Asahi). Asahi is also well known for being the main artist and author of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Oni, a prequel manga for the Higurashi series that takes place during the Taisho era.
Although details on the newest release are sparse minus a website detailing some elements of the story, this is still a very exciting release with the potential to be something truly special with the people involved. They even brought over Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata, Rudeus Greyrat, Joseph Joestar, and Gundham Tanaka) to be part of the voice cast for this release. The game will be released in 3 languages: English, Japanese, and Chinese. (Upon release, nothing is to be heard of the English support.)
It is currently available on Melonbooks for ¥5,720 which translates to $37.55. You can also play the trial for the game on DLSoft. The game will officially be released on the 24th of November, today. If you want to follow further updates on the project, CRAFTWORK is currently releasing a few videos promoting the release on YouTube (as well as showcasing gameplay). You can also follow them on Twitter as well as their own website.
