Last week, we had Fujoneko on the VNTS for the first time, and he performed quite well. You could even cook a new meal after reading it, so that was nice. Zaka had been slacking a little and I’m really busy, so this VNTS will probably release after the day changes again. There are also some changes to my personal situation, which I will briefly touch on in my section. At least the VNTS format generation with Zaka’s new tool worked nicely. (there was a bug left)

Surprise! Usually Zaka starts the VNTS and I reply to him, but for this week we decided to do the old switch-a-roo and he replies to me now. Time to actually take away everything he’s able to talk about, so he just posts some Swedish food or rants about random localization choices again!
As already mentioned in the intro, lately my life has changed in many regards for the better due to Fuwanovel growing and growing. We introduced many new ideas, like our recent push towards more content per day, our collaboration with Vtubers and also plans to restructure the forum. Usually, you would ask yourself… How does a single person have so much time to manage all this? Well, I do have the time, but I don’t necessarily have to manage everything anymore. Our team developed a lot of innate drive to keep things running, so once they’re assigned tasks and responsibilities they are actually taking them seriously and pull them off. We have a wealth of very interesting high effort content like interviews, showcases and even academy style articles in the making and Fuwanovel will continue supplying you with a lot of new interesting material throughout the year.
But my personal life situation has definitely changed a lot. I don’t want to go too deep into it, but I’m going to switch universities to get my degree somewhere else… sometime else. The businesses (plural) I’m trying to build are still in their establishment and planning phases, but really close to launch, so it is a difficult decision for me to make, but I will be moving back to my parents for a while–actually in accordance to their desires to care for a sickly family member. I don’t need to say much more. This definitely affects my life greatly as I’m giving up some of my personal freedom of living alone and it won’t be exactly the calmest time either. Plus is that I’m in the inaka with fresh air all around me. My goal is still to be financially stable by the end of the year.
Now we talk about the games for this week: First, we have the seamless progress on H2O that, unless they don’t finish their localization post-QC stage, shapes up for a release in one or two weeks. This is so impressive since I don’t really recall any projects that haven’t hit a single roadblock.
Next is Memolily, which is another of the games that Alexeir (Shinzou Translations) released to their unfathomable audience of three people on Twitter. This guy has worked on The Invisible Star and some other games before (you can check my showcase) and now he did another game by the benevolent Japanese doujin collaborator D10RAMA. I’m going to surprise myself what this game is about.
Then there is this game called Yarichin Katei Kyoushi Houkoku, which is by the new development team SaikeyStudios. Checking their website actually reveals a huge wealth of titles. I’m not sure about them as they spawned out of nowhere and kept releasing NTR patches behind Patreon paywalls to later go legit. Supposedly, they’re now developer-sanctioned. Anyways, this game seems to be a NTR game about hometutors, not my favourite setting.
Around last week, Shiravune teased two new titles with a tweet containing 8 stars and a heart in the middle. People immediately gravitated towards the idea that it must’ve been To Heart, fittingly since they recently had released WHITE ALBUM, another title by AQUAPLUS/Leaf. It didn’t turn out to be those, instead we will get now Tenioha?! feat. Mami and Destiny Star Girlfriend. Check our articles on those. Zaka can probably tell us a bit about the old Tenioha and its missing otokonoko route later? Both will release Q4.
Cherry Kiss, who had been mostly releasing ambitionless Miel nukige twice per month, now stepped up their game with their newest title License to Breed. This game will contain more than 45 H-Scenes with a load of different women. Cava’s dick will bleed fr.
The rest of the titles I leave to Zaka as it is getting late and, as previously mentioned.. he’s gonna be replying to me today. And even worse, he’s not handing in another draft, but actually sits down to edit in the Gutenberg. It’s crazy. Next he will finish Shinimasu! The DREAM!
Oh, btw. We have On-Site Vtubers now. They’re not a full new generation thing yet and we’re just working out the vibe between people, but my god they’re all adorable, quirky or just amazing. Follow our two cuties Nami_Dancho and Bunnysleepover.

「I ended up completely cucking Hata by not writing this in Gutenberg after all, nor meaningfully responding to his post which I didn’t even read. In my defense he was just kinda baselessly assuming I would so idk get meme’d lol
I gotta be honest, I’m half asleep as I’m writing this. It’s less the time, 21:00 is fine by my current schedule, and more the high blood sugar. It’s always tricky to manage, but I must admit I probably made it a lot harder for myself by ingesting all those lovely carbs earlier. Unfortunately I don’t think this is really the kind of tiredness that leads to anything unhinged, so set your expectations appropriately (I’m still doing your mom tonight, motherlovers don’t skip).
I feel like the only two things I remember from last week is I think I played some Subnautica, 5 million years late as usual, and oh yeah I spent way too long analyzing a stupid game in Akagoei 3 to help Bee (it was really bad and the text kinda contradicted what would actually happen as the game played out, Kinugasa sucks dick fr ong).
Anyway, I look forward to doing nothing memorable this week either. Things did happen this week on the translation front. First off, memolily is from the same circle as Absent in the Rain and The Invisible Star. The TL has the same translators as the latter of those two, so I would expect kinda mid English writing. Not that bad though, mind you. Maybe the Spanish tl is better still? Madokami knows. Interestingly this VN is actually on the Ren’Py engine, which is mainly used by EVN devs. I asked the translator and he said that the scripts were unencrypted, so there wasn’t much work getting them to a translatable state. Honestly I kind of like that approach, though I realize that compiled archives probably help performance sometimes.
The Tsuire project has posted an encouraging update; by the numbers, it seems the tl/edit is about half done. Unsurprisingly, things go a lot faster when Voldemort is not involved in their creation (real ones will know what I mean). Finally, Yarichin Katei Kyoushi is so obviously a nukige I’m not even going to look it up to see if I’m right.
From official companies, we have the Aikagi fandisc for all the single heroine moege enjoyers out there.
Samurai Vandalism is one of those VNs that my exclusionist side was wondering if it really fit in the category, but the vndb edit history lists a guy saying it’s like 85% VN and 15% gameplay, so I guess it’s all good by me.
Friendly Lab looks like a somewhat avant-garde title where you’re a researcher and you can use the “lab” to manipulate two captive boys suffering from Convenient Amnesia. Yes, it seems BL. No, the lab doesn’t seem very friendly. The DLsite page is pretty snazzy, though it’s weird how much worse the character profiles are written than the rest of the text on the page. Maybe there’s just more of it, so the translator had more rope to hang themselves with… Ah well.
The Ise-shima Case is a faux-retro adventure game thing. I think I said more about this some earlier VNTS, but I ain’t finding that shit.
Shin’en no Yukar, or Yukar From The Abyss as the unknown to me publisher LocaGames has named it, is “A fantasy otome game based on the myths and legends of Hokkaido, Japan”, which actually is a very coherent description for a publisher I’ve never heard of. The Steam page description is honestly not that bad, even though they use a two-dot ellipsis once and are thus worse than Hitler. It seems to be short (2 hours?) it but also has the guys fully voiced. Also apparently kind of out there in terms of content if the reviews are to be believed, though maybe the romance doesn’t make the most sense in all cases. Ah well. Looking at LocaGames on vndb, they’ve also released a VN adaptation of Miyazawa Kenji’s classic book The Restaurant of Many Orders. Weirdly, it looks like the PC version has been retracted and it’s now iOS only. Shame!

Honestly speaking no much that I can talk about this week seeing that it’s less interesting than the last week, although at least Shukusei no Girlfriend is somewhat interesting even though it’s serial VN (Hopefully Shiravune announce the rest of the trilogy later).
