On July 28th 2023, Love Lab just released their new title, a visual novel made by Recette: Sugar Sweet Temptation (originally known as Shugaten! -sugarfull tempering-). The game is now available with English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese translation.
You will be able to play it on Steam as an all-ages release. For the adult version, you can obtain the +18 patch which is from Love Lab Patches site to restore the censored content on Steam or buy the full +18 Edition on Love Lab.
Love Lab is an official localization publisher with Meru as its head. It’s a publisher dedicated to bringing Japanese games and otaku media to the world.
Originally, this project was first announced back in May 2022 during the Anime Expo 2022. Back in January, it was announced that the translation was complete and it was supposed to release at the end of that month. However, it ended up being delayed until now.
Once a year in the beautiful, snowy town of Fueya, the air sparkles with diamond dust. On the Night of the Fairies, it’s said that miracles will occur.
Crow Yamada mysteriously drops in on one such night, landing on the rooftop of the quaint patisserie Folkroll with no memories of how he got there.With the head baker hospitalized, the beloved shop is currently in danger of being shut down and sold off to a corporation; but the patissier’s granddaughter Meru and her best friend Kōri will stop at nothing to save it from such a fate. Plus, a patissier-in-training named Chocolat from the potential buyers has arrived to help out!
The girls of Folkroll are so welcoming and kind to Crow that he decides to become a great patissier to save the shop! But will he ever remember who he is, where he came from, or why he was on the roof in the first place?
Experience a a story as sweet and warm as a hot chocolate on a winter’s day as Crow and his new friends fight for what they love.

As far as the staff goes, the game was directed by Kotake Yoshiniko (notable works are such as Otome * Domain (debug staff) and Shiniyuku Kimi, Yakata ni Mebuku Zouo (script, debugging).
The scenario writer behind it is Sakaki Saka, with notable works such as Kinkoi: Golden Loveriche and Tsujidou-san no Jun’ai Road.
The character design is done by Shiratama, a famous name behind works such as the Amairo Chocolata series and Jewerly Hearts Academia. She also produced her own game, Hoshizora Tetsudou to Shiro no Tabi, created under Shiratamaco, a circle owned by her.
