On August 22nd, publisher Shiravune made a sudden announcement for the translation project of mirai‘s Destiny Star Girlfriend. This title won 2018’s Moege Award as Best Graphics and Best Theme Song.
The game will be available on Steam as partial release. You’ll only be able to play the full game using the +18 patch on Johren.
Destiny Star Girlfriend will have English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language support, and will be available on Q4 2023.
5.December 2023 Update: Shiravune announced a more specific release date. The game will release on the 14th of December at 10AM JST.

Destiny Star Girlfriend is made by mirai, a visual novel producer imprinted by Hawkeye Co., Ltd. Mirai’s most notable works are Hanahime * Absolute! and its fandisc Mahou Shoujo Magical Arin. After those released, they released this title and then continued it as a series, which became a trilogy, Shukusei no Girlfriend 2 -The Destiny Star of Girlfriend- and Shukusei no Girlfriend 3 -The Destiny Star of Girlfriend-. Their latest release is Shukusei no Girlfriend – Fujiko Hen, a side story for Destiny Star Girlfriend with Yonamine Fujiko as the main character.
This game released its trial version on April 27th, 2018. That same year, it became available as both a digital edition and a physical edition on July 27th. At the end of that year, they released it for Android, which you can buy on the DMM Appstore.
More than a year later, they released the Mini AVG BugBug Version that contains the After Story for Yuuri‘s route, which is available on BugBug’s website. Finally, on March 27th 2023, mirai release Shukusei no Girlfriend ALLSTAR, a full pack containing the entire trilogy, as well as the side story for Yonamine Fujiko, Shukusei no Girlfriend – Fujiko Hen.
The game’s planning and scenario was written by Harmony, the writer behind this entire trilogy, as well as Fujiko Hen and Ryuusei World Actor (as Special Thanks.)
The art and character design was made by Kannagi Rei. His notable works such as Twinkle ☆ Crusaders and its fandisc, Hanahime * Absolute! and its fandisc Mahou Shoujo Magical Arin, as well as Ryuusei World Actor and PRIMAL×HEARTS 2 as Special Thanks.

Seriously single-minded, she is above all else a warrior of her word, which only makes her Majin alliance more puzzling.

Vndb defines 2nd and 3rd vns as sequels but are they really? I got the impression they are more like Seiiki series from feng or “Uchi no…” series from Argonauts. In other words, 2nd and 3rd vns really continue from where previous vns left off or are they like the examples I mentioned above?
That’s a great question! I took my information for that from VNDB, so I won’t be able to confirm if they really are sequels or not. I’ve seen screenshots from the following games and the main heroine for this title is still showing up, so it might be a sequel after all.
