Initially announced during Idea Factory‘s panel at Anime Expo 2023, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ~Pirates of the Disturbance~, or HameFura for short, arrives for the Nintendo Switch on November 28! The visual novel is available to purchase from various outlets in North America ($49.99) and Europe (£44.99.)
HameFura is a visual novel released by Otomate based on the light novel series of the same name. Yoshimura Rinka, known for her work in Café Enchanté and Cupid Parasite, wrote the scenario based on the world created by Yamaguchi Satoru. Idea Factory is publishing the Western release of the game under their brand Idea Factory International (IFI).
The physical version of Hamefura comes in both Standard and Limited Editions. The Limited Edition is offered exclusively through the IFI Online Store for $84.99 or £74.99. Both versions come with an exclusive trading card if ordered through the official website. Besides the game and the card, the Limited Edition comes with a Collector’s Box, a steel game case, an Official Hardcover Art Book, an Audio Drama and the Game Soundtrack. As of the time of writing, the Limited Edition is still available for purchase for NA and EU.
Hamefura is available to purchase physically via Idea Factory International’s Online Store or through any of their affiliated retailers listed in the official website for $49.99 USD or £44.99. The game is also available in the North American and European Nintendo Stores for the same prices.
Story
Catarina Claes is a young woman born into a family of nobility who has a memory of her past life as a high school student. She was reincarnated as a Villainess in an otome game called Fortune Lover. Exile or death were all that awaited her in this new world.
However, she managed to evade these ends, and somehow made it through the year to spring break.
As fate would have it, both Catarina and her adopted brother, Keith, were to board a state-of-the-art luxury liner called the Vinculum on its maiden voyage during their time away from the Academy. Once aboard the ship, she realized her friends were also in attendance on what was meant to be a luxurious journey at sea.
The tides changed quickly when they were attacked by pirates who took over the Vinculum and held all of its passengers hostage. This turn of events all seemed familiar to Catarina, and she begins to recall this was the storyline to a Fortune Lover fanbook.
Could this mean she’s living in a resurrection of a canned doom ending?!
