Following last year’s success, Idea Factory‘s Otomate brand is back with another Otomate Party. Held on September 9th and 10th at the Tokyo International Forum, the event treated the audience to line readings by voice actors from popular titles, exciting game corners and, of course, a first look at their upcoming games.
One interesting thing to note about this year’s announcement is the fact that there weren’t any sequels announced at all. Instead, fans of this niche genre were given a whopping six brand-new titles as well as updates on existing titles.
Let’s take a look at everything that was announced, shall we?
NEW TITLES
Matsurika no Kei -Tenmei Iniden-
Platform: Nintendo Switch
Keyword: Chinese-style High Fantasy x Glittering Romance
Main Artist: Ryou Hasumoto (of Sephirot fame, a once-popular Otomate mobile game)

Alongside the brand-new game announcements, Otomate also teased the 15th anniversary of their most popular series, Hakuoki. To celebrate the milestone, this brand prepared some things that fans could look forward to, including a stage musical for Hakuoki Shinkai and a new game which is basically a prequel to the beginnings of Ochimizu. To top it off, Hakuoki Yuugiroku Taishitachi no Daienkai will officially be ported to the Nintendo Switch.
