「Welcome to a new month of VNs, or whatever. It’s a somewhat different month for me, since the extensive reading challenge Tadoku ran a round last month and it’s not doing that this month. 580 four-hundred-char-page-equivalents of Japanese text in a month is okay, I guess. But now I have to refocus on shinimasu… well, that and my university course, I guess. But math is laaaaaame… Expect to see me play random vns instead to procrastinate.

The manakashi project is currently reporting only edited lines as “translated” which I certainly can’t disagree with entirely, but it also doesn’t show that there’s a tl/edit discrepancy currently. If you are interested in helping edit a dark yurige with guro, see this post for details.

One of the reviews Steam presented to me on the re-zero game complained that the gameplay was lame, though it didn’t comprise that much of the experience. Also the story not great. Also mostly act 1 and 2 or whatever should be experienced before playing. And stuff. I cannot speak as to the truth of this, as I stalled reading rezero in Japanese somewhere in the middle of the first LN because stalling things is what I do. I do wonder if there are any anime tie-in games that are actually considered really good, though. Though few make it over, they seem common in Japan — but I’ve never heard of one that wasn’t just seen as okay-tier bonus material for True Fans. I also haven’t listened very hard, though. I wonder if there are structural factors that make it unlikely for them to be good… I could think of a few without much issue.

Slobbish Dragon Princess is some moege with a #anime moege setting. The only thing I feel like remarking on is the localized name being lame. ぐーた is exactly how I feel hearing about it.

Re;lord 2 was fully translated a few million years ago, so it’s, uh, nice to see someone working on it again, I guess. I have seen JOPs speak quite positively about the series as it goes on, but who knows when #3 is coming to our shores? Not I.

I think everyone thought the Gore Screaming Show project was dead. It still seems pretty dead, but in a somewhat alive manner. I don’t remember the samples coming out being anything remotely resembling good, so I’d personally be fine if it never delivered. We shall see.」
