Fortune Arterial

Foreword Fortune Arterial, (while not a great game), is one I will always hold dear to my heart. That’s because it is the first game I’ve ever played fully in Japanese. I used the scripts left behind on the chuutranslation front page and cross-checked myself everytime I was unsure of something. Gradually, I was able to acquire basic Japanese reading skills. I am super enthusiastic to see this project being picked up again and I wish nothing but the best for Frankincense and the rest of his team.
Interesting Tidbits
“Haha, I agree. We are like stars in the universe that are light-years apart. Maybe there are no active forums for us to gather? And yeah nobody seems to care to help. Fan opinions are quite essential. They can give us advices and point out errors. They should not stay silent. I’m dying to talk to fans to further our project.”
They need one more translator and an image editor. Please speak to Frank if you can assist.

The InterviewInterviewee: Frankincense ![]() Hi Aaeru. I’m Frank. nice to meet you *bow*. I am very happy that someone out of your group actually pay attention to our project. Worry not, this Email is active.Haha, I agree. We are like stars in the universe that are light-years apart. Maybe there are no active forums for us to gather? And yeah nobody seems to care to help. Fan opinions are quite essential. They can give us advices and point out errors. They should not stay silent. I’m dying to talk to fans to further our project. I saw your thread on Animesuki and Hongfire from 2008. How did you get the idea to make a start on this game? How did we start? Hmm… I’m not an original member so I don’t know. But about how we restarted… I originally just wanted to be a mere translator, and Fortune Arterial is one of not many untranslated games I finished. (It would be too difficult to go for some title I have no experience with.) So I talked with Tremal. And he said something along the line, “I’m too busy to continue anymore. This project is yours.” o_o I have never led a project before so this is a little sudden for me. Luckily Alex the hacker is still with me and I have friends who can give me advices. Was it always two people working on the project, or one joined later? Hmm the two of us? There are many of us. XD Who are working now? As you can see there are some active staffs now. There were only Alex and me when we restarted. The rest are my friends whom I invited to join. ![]() Who is the translator and who is the editor? Well I posted the staff list. Though currently I’m only translating but once I translate everything I’ll help edit and QC too. And if possible I want everyone to be on MSN when we QC.Why do you translate? Just want to practice and try my skill. I love studying languages, not just Japanese. Also, I want to help. I was someone clueless at Japanese before and I know it’s painful to want to understand the story but can’t. Don’t know about my friends but I don’t want to be famed or anything. High-profile people get troubles. 😛 Have you suffered burn-out before? No. I’m quite confident that I have the longest attention span in the world. XD The only thing the makes me inactive is sickness. And I’m afraid that if I’ve gone away for too long I may lose touch. ![]() Are you recruiting? 3. Yes. I want one more translator and if possible an image editor. Do you know some? 😛 More translators means more different wording styles, which could be messy during QC. I think 3 is the balance between speed and quality. What do you think?Anything else you would like to say to the fans? Stay tuned! P.S. And show yourselves! We need you! XDYou can contact me on MSN with this Email. And I usually hang around a forum named Sakurahana. It’s a nice place. :)Don’t mention it. If you need help call me anytime! (Also, there was a follow-up email.) Thank you very much for your email Frank. I look forward to hearing more about your work soon. |
